NEIL YOUNG with CRAZY HORSE "everybody knows this is nowhere" cd, 1969.
a revisit after a few years....
his second solo set of many and first sith Crazy Horse...
CH were known as The Rockets prior to this album, thus the track "running dry (requiem for the rockets)" in case you didnt know....
i never know where to put this one as it is country, folk, soft rock and rock....
lyrically and musically this is as good as anything from his vast back catalogue,
vocally, he still sounds a bit unsure of himself IMO, but that adds to the atmosphere of the album...
the experts have traced Grunge's family tree back to this album, i dont get it but im sure Neil would be impressed.
excellent album that still sounds as fresh as it did when i first heard it in the early 00's and seems to get better with age.
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
really enjoyed this one on this occasion...
