Not finding a single new release I'm in the mood to try out this week. It's a bit of a desert out there! Quite scary - what are we going to do when there's nothing left but the Lil' people???!!!
I'm in the mood for old favourites anyway, and very grateful for the phenomenon that was Gerry Rafferty. This album is about two tracks too short IMHO ... Sleepwalking. On the other hand, there's zero filler.
The opener is fab ... great drums by the Steeleye Span sticksman Liam Genocky (his bio says he is easily identified by his long plaited beard - lol!), cool bass too courtesy of Mo Foster, Mel Collins on sax (about which nothing further needs to be said!), Hugh Burns on lead - another one of those prolific session guys you've definitely heard but don't know it kinda thing ...
