you would assume from the title that there are thirteen tracks on here but there are actually sixteen...
Kelly didnt write one tune on here instead he put music to short poems by famous poets which incorporate birds including John Keats, Emily Dickinson, Thomas Hardy from the 18th and 19th Centuries through to contemporary Australian poets Judith Wright and Gwen Harwood...
a lovely album IMO.
