GENESIS "turn it on again: the hits" cd, 1999.
eighteen track compilation spanning the years 1973-1991.
well, actually theres one track from 1973 ("i know what i like"), the rest are from 78-91, Phil's years...
if i didnt know it was a Genesis album i would swear i was listening to a Phil Collins album and thats what bugs me about it, there isnt a blurred line, no line to cross to differentiate between his solo career and that of the band which i find infuriating.
another thing that irks me here is that the Peter Gabriel years only gets one track (most of which i am not familiar with).
overall though, there are some decent hits on here but i found it too much of a muchness (the Phil Collins factor i guess!), and i got bored with it fairly quickly but there was enough on here to make it worth more than the $1 price at a flea market a while ago...
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
always loved this song and still do after all these years:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.
