ROGER McGUINN "roger mcguinn" cd 1973
his debut solo album...
recorded just after the 1973 Byrds' album 'byrds'...
a very average album IMO, even the likes of the original Byrds, Dylan, Nash and Beach Boys' Bruce Johnston cannot lift this one...
some folk-rock, country-crossover, jazzy moments and a hint of blues but overall very 'been there-heard that' sounds already covered by The Byrds and considering some of these tracks were performed live by The Byrds over the previous four or so years which just about says it all (not good enough to record by his band) and it is no wonder....
