Kevin Keller was born on this day in 1967, in San Diego, California, USA. He is a composer, and his field is ambient chamber music / contemporary classical. I’m happy to report that what he does is not wifty wafty sonic wallpaper – there is meat on the bones. I listened to an album titled The Day I Met Myself which could be described as a musical path through life, I guess. He composes for choreographers – seems to do quite a bit of that, and studied film scoring so there is a cinematic element to his work – his inspirations have mostly been Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno, Harold Budd and Claude Debussy.
