Sara Watkins was born on this day in 1981 in Vista, California, USA. She sings, plays ukulele, fiddle and guitar and has recorded a few solo albums (her debut was produced by John Paul Jones), as well as some with her brother and guests as Watkins Family Hour, a single album as one of the Mutual Admiration Society (JPJ is one of those too) and is most recently a member of Nickel Creek - also with Sean Watkins and Chris Thile. She has received several not inconsiderable accolades.
