i only stream new release albums upon release.
if i like what i hear i purchase a physical copy on either vinyl or compact disk
streaming all your music does not help artists as the pittance they earn is not worth it (unless you are a Taylor Swift or Ed Sheeran) where you will get hundreds of millions of streams, even then they are not earning what they rightfully deserve
streaming is great for fans, like you said, "you can stream your favorites for free" but detrimental to the careers of the musicians.
streaming is just a one dimensional sound of cluttered sound, at least vinyl and cds have dimension and feel through the right system
as a footnote, i have never downloaded a single song from the internet, nor have i purchased a copy of anything from a streaming provider.
