RAINBOW "long live rock n roll"
from the MH vinyl collection
released in 1978
third album from this UK hard rock band
picked this one because i had never heard an album by them
they actually come from around 5 miles from where my mum comes from in the UK
some pretty good hard rock sounds on here, especially the first four tracks (side 1on the vinyl)
the remaining four tracks were still good but just lacked the intensity of the first side for me
Dio's vocals are top notch on this album
i see on Wiki that guitarist Ritchie Blackmore is not only the only one still in the band but also the only original member still alive
in summary,
album was good enough for me to want to explore their early albums (1970s) and then maybe the remainder if all goes well there
album comes in at a decent 2.1 for a first up listen and certainly has room to improve with more listens
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
