The next super group? Or have they already arrived? I think so. Don't think we can call them alternative anymore, as the awards are rolling in. I was sold with Absolution. Yet this is the first I have heard this entire album. Not sure if this tops that for me, but damn close. No I have not heard Resistance, other than what gets played on the air. The group is composed of Matthew Bellamy (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Christopher Wolstenholme (bass, backing vocals), and Dominic Howard (drums and percussion). Of course them studio recordings have to be much more than that. This is the fourth album, and I have not heard the first two either. Someday. This reached #1 in the U.K. and #9 in the states. Singles of Supermassive Black Hole, Starlight and Knights of Cydonia. Only track I couldn't get into was that lead off, which just takes too long for the meat to arrive with the potatoes, and the synth is just annoying. I will end up getting this cd at some point.
