John Ford Coley, born this day in 1948, in Dallas, Texas. Best known for his musical partnership with England Dan – he’s a classically trained pianist, a guitarist and vocalist; they were very successful in the seventies. Nights are Forever is considered their seminal offering and it's easy to see why, unless you totally loathe soft rock with an unremitting passion! I particularly like this one, which was written by Dan Seals, who is sadly no longer with us - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_ehSLmScEs

…and since it’s Coley’s day today, from the album after that, Dowdy Ferry Road – co-written by himself –
