I like some of Juan MacLean's work. But I have a difficult time purchasing DJ mixes. There are many many new ones available every week as free podcasts. Several of those are quite good.
The only DJ mixes I feel the desire to purchase are ones like Richie Hawtin's Closer to the Edit series. In those mixes he takes dozens (hundreds?) of tracks, samples them, loops them, and adds his own effects. It really blurs the line between DJ mix and original artist album.
