Labelling your music might stop potential listeners to give it a chance.But on the other hand many people search for bands within their labels they like...Not easy. But "a sort of ambient" could be ok. Today i saw on Lastfm that one of my heroes, John Foxx, is tagged(labelled) there as ambient,deep ambient,atmospheric,acoustic ambient,meditative...etc etc....
