The Fall …………………Your Future Our Clutter

This band goes back to the late seventies…….at that time they were part of a new form of music supported by legendary BBC radio DJ, John Peel. It seems that ole Peely was right, they did have staying power and were the kind of band who would change the way we thought about music.

Track One O.F.Y.C. Showcase : This reminded me of the days of the Sex Pistols , full throttle on we go no compromise-take-to-the-audience-kind-a-stuff. It’s great to see that the years have not softened The Fall that much, and they still have that edge that made them so ground breaking as when they first appeared.

Track Two Bury Pats 1 + 3 : Good solid riff and a stonking, groove made this an excellent track!

Track Three Mexico Wax Solvent. : Solid beat matches an assertive vocal style to deliver track three.

Track Four Cowboy George: I was saddled up and waiting to gallop off with this track: I was not disappointed , The Fall’s version of a cowboy tune has all the feel of the Wild West. Driving rhythm and flaying guitar, reminded me of those great western programs on TV and their theme tunes.

Track Five Hot Cake :A good interplay between drums and fuzz guitar starts things rolling here! An exciting track with plenty of energy.

Track Six YFOC/Slippy Floor : More of the same here, skipping beat rock, followed by quick-fire instrumental rock and roll.

Track Seven Chino Hypnotic walking rhythm gives a great feel to this track. Liked this one lots.

Track Eight Funnel Of Love : Fun to listen to , equipped with edge and a great hook what more can you ask for?

Track Nine Weather Report 2: So, we arrive at the last track, a slightly softer feel here, still good listening though, thought provoking and inovative .

There is still a lot of originality to the Fall, they can write songs that grab your attention,; they have audio presence and, they can use their distinctive style in a way that does not tire.
