CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:thats a pretty fair appraisal of 'cost of loving' album. their follow up album 'confessions of a pop group' was the style councils best album even though it only reached #15 in uk charts. this album was released on polydor in uk, was it released on a different label in US?. it was their 1989 'modernism' that was rejected by polydor. the band split then, paul weller didnt re emerge till 1991 with his self titled, self financed debut solo set, this was only released in japan on pony canyon records, but import sales to uk got him to release it there also, his career has gone from strength to strength since then with great albums like 'wild wood' 'stanley road' 'illumination' '22dreams'
I may have confused the label parting, sorry.
