'the one thing' and 'dont change' were both top 15 hits in Oz, and you're correct Ed in saying that the next album was the one that took them places. 'the swing' the follow up to this one,from memory spawned a handful of top 10 hits in Oz...it started their breaking down the doors in europe also, but 'kick' really hit worldwide paydirt for INXS....thats when the drugs and women took priority over the music they were making and the slide downhill.
the songs on 'shabooh shoobah' sounded better live than on vinyl, as for the title...there was a meaning behind it but i cant remember what it was though,sorry??
also, i dont own a single INXS album,always thought they were a singles and live band, i have a lot of their singles on 7" and 12",some of their remixes were quite good
