And that is what I believe gives me license to criticise what I don't like.
You admit you're not a fan of Hip Hop and contemporary Soul/R&B, which means it's not likely you'll like many albums in those genres. And sure enough, your reviews bear that out with scores in the range of 1.2-1.5 which is a NO BUY by your scoring. To further emphasize your feelings, you'll say things like "just like nearly every contemporary R&B album, here's another one I didn't like," or "Out of 13 songs, 2 were worth hearing."
It's admirable that you keep listening to something you dislike so much, but after reading three pages of R&B/HipHop reviews, I have to wonder what's the point of it all when I can't find a positive (meaning WILL BUY) review?
EDIT: Sorry. Enough's enough. I guess I got carried away. Sometimes I get a little passionate about the music genres I love. Hey, it's your forum after all. Forget what I said and carry on, good man.
