You hit the nail on the head there I think I gave up on Hip Hop when Whodini left the scene.
The Roots seem to be a great example of what Hip Hop could be, The album with John Legend is a good R&B set, but when you start digging it seems you have to wade through Kanye and soulja boy and lil wayne and these people. You feel you could never wash yourself clean ever again. The positive thing is that Hip Hop is a lifestyle, is young, and will evolve. Who knows who and what we will hear from the genre over time.
