The groups major label debut and I think what led me to explore some previous work. Although on this listen it didn't seem to measure up, the Balloon Man track makes it worthwhile and into the respectable rating area. Have no idea what it means but it sure sounds good. Guest appearances from Peter Buck (R.E.M.) and Glenn Tilbrook (Squeeze). A couple of rubbish tracks but overall a decent effort. I have a few other of Robyns albums but I think this one is the best. He has continued to plug away out there but has never hit the mainstream, which is sometimes a good thing. A paltry #111 in the states is the best this album could manage.

There were loads of them on Bryant Park so I didn't feel out of place
There must have been a plague of them on the TV when I came home late
They were guzzling marshmellows and jumping off the Empire state
And I laughed like I always do and I cried like I cry for you
