I've listened to the clips indicated Crazyman, and they didn't do a lot for me. There may be a couple of reasons for this:
- Listening over the laptop usually leaves me underwhelmed
- Familiarity. I'm a firm believer that the more you hear music, the more you grow to like it.
In my view, PM was the true writing genius in The Beatles, and everyone of my generation grew up hearing their music all over the radio, and most grew to love the songs. It's never quite the same when you hear things for the first time, with some exceptions.
There's nothing there that I disliked, but neither did they set me on fire. Thanks for the heads up, anyway.
