My story might differ a bit from some, as I was not allowed to listen to radio music when I was growing up. (Mennonite) So the way it was for me, I snuck out and went to my older brother's house and listened to his CD's.
So really, my favorite singers and bands still stem from those first CD's I listened to. Fond memories I guess! It was country music, and some of them were: Brad Paisley, Diamond Rio, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Faith Hill, Leanne Womack, etc. Most teenagers now think those are oldies! Well I guess Brad Paisley is still younger than some. I now have my own radio and CD's, but I still love some of those oldies :-)
