Convention has it that this marked the start of his artistic decline, and whilst there may be some truth in that, a sub-par Bowie album is still worthy of consideration. This is one of his more accessible albums, but still manages to throw in some weird curve-balls.
He always managed to use interesting musicians on his projects, and Stevie Ray Vaughan on guitar is an inspired choice IMV.
A good album from one of my favourite writers.
