Rival Sons: Pressure & Time (Release June 2011)
All Over the Road
Young Love
Pressure and Time
Only One
Get Mine
Burn Down Los Angeles
Save Me
Gypsy Heart
White Noise
Face of Light
Rival Sons: fairly new and mostly unknown but the buzz is that's changing. They are most often compared to Led Zeppelin - even being referred to as "The New Led Zeppelin"; laughable in my opinion. Who can live up to perfection? - but I do hear the influence and they are certainly in the return-to-classic rock arena. The lead singer, Jay Buchanan, is compared to Jim Morrison; I think this is much more of a personal dream than it is reality. Again, who can live up to perfection?
I have only listened to Pressure & Time once but I do like it enough to give it some attention. Stand out track so far is Pressure & Time (you can check it out on youtube).
I purchased the EP (Jan 2011):

Get Whatâs Coming
Torture
Radio
Sacred Tongue
Sleepwalker
Soul
and their first full length record: Before The Fire (2009):

Tell Me Something
Lucky Girl
Memphis Sun
Angel
Pocketful of Stones
The Man Who Wasnât There
Pleasant Return
On My Way
I Want More
Flames of Lanka
Nanda-Nandana
I think I was equally offended by and morbidly curious about the bold comparisons and just had to get alone with these guys to get myself sorted. Rival Sons have my attention as a potentially decent new (old) rock band and I do like some of what I hear but the jury's still out...
