I remember from the time I was about 6 years old spending my $2 allowance on a new record single every week at the Record Bar. I had just enough money to buy one and I ended up with so many singles. My first was Ratt's Round And Round. I wish I still had them. I gave them all away when I was 11 because I had cassettes now! Ooops! Music was always just there, MTV was new, my older brother is truly a music head, my Dad gave me a love of the 50's rock 'n roll. I used to wake up to it every Sunday morning. Oddly I think my love of 50's rock led to my love of the Ramones and all their Beach boys covers etc. I had a real hippie music teacher in elementary school that had us singing 'Blowing in the Wind' and 'Leaving on a Jet Plane' etc. It's hard to pin down a moment when I fell in love with music , it's like I was always seeking it out and taking it in.
