I think -
Music affects your emotions - sometimes extremely - and means you sometimes feel like 'something' has been revealed and that's such a powerful feeling I'm not surprised that the 'something' feels like a discovery of something higher either within or outside yourself.
However I personally think that music just resonates with the individual for whatever evolutionary beauty/pattern recognition reasons there are (seems like it's relatively early days for scientific studies on why we all seem to appreciate music though). I also don't think a beautiful sunset proves the existence of god - same sort of thing.
I am a bit puzzled why people sometimes think like this (it came as a shock to me when I realised at age 12 that everyone I knew weren't also pretending to believe in god) but it is intellectually interesting.
