I am more familiar with Prince than James. They certainly produced high tempo feel good music!
I haven't heard the term "funk music" in awhile ! Are there artists of notoreity out there today specialising in funk besides the usual suspects ? I can't think of any new ones off the top of my head....maybe Aussie band Cat Empire ?
