yep...just checked my Neil Young bio "shaky"...it seems Rick James met Neil on Toronto,played at the same clubs as Neil, drove into the US together to California, Rick was arrested for THC possession,police found he had an out of date work visa and deported him...thats pretty much it in a nutshell...
apparently NY waited fro him in LA for a while for him to get another work visa to work in the US...after a couple of months of waiting and hearing nothing, Neil kept on moving...
