Interesting take on the 60s..it's all there isn't it CH?...I'll just add that Jazz was changing drastically with the influence of avant garde artists or artists that changed over to free jazz...Coltrane and Miles Davis come to mind..and also the birth of jazz rock fusion ..Bitches Brew with Miles and others.

psychadelia,heavy metal,protest songs, prog rock all had their origins in the latter half of the decade, so its not surprising that most people's favourite artists come from that era
