Just to wade in on the Techno recommendations, I'm currently going through a Techno phase myself and have made some fun discoveries: Drexciya are excellent and have a good retrospective collection out currently, Regis is a British Techno pioneer who mixes industrial and Detroit and I'm enjoying Jeff Mills and his X-10 project A LOT! One of my local 12" dumping sites has a wealth of old techno, so I go down there and splurge on random purchases -never gone wrong. Oh, Robert Hood is quite good too, but very minimalist and curious.
