BOB DYLAN "love and theft" cd,2001. #3UK, #5 US, #6 AU.
39 years into a career and 31 studio albums later.....for a guy who cannot sing a note intune is amazing IMO, maybe he should try some of that 'autotune' on his next album LMFAO!
this was my Dylan 'comeback album'...went off him after i got that abysmal 1989 set "down in the groove" with his stupid cover of "lets stick together" and that average single "silvio"....
but this one was a return to some sort of form IMO...
great lyrics, love those smokey, rough edged vocals he got around this time...suits the swing, jazzy overtones and the bluesy rocky type material on here also...
actually scoring a bit better than i thought it would despite two tracks i do not like on here, guess its offset by five i do love...
incidently, this one was released the day of the 9/11 attacks in the US, so i am surprised it sold as well as it did with all the chaos around at the time...
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
