If I hadn't known that this was a new current album, I would've thought it came right out of 1965. It takes you back to those dirty soul beats coined by Holland. It is amazing to see this, to see something brand new that is so old. Music is at an interesting time now, artists are going back and forth I think between old and new and finding new ways to revamp old sounds. This is just all old, all like it was made, like a Motown album.
Piggybacking off of this concept of new music sounding like older music, I still can't believe this album was released in 2012. Sounds like its straight out of the late 60's/early 70's.
