Not sure why I picked this one up. Not a fan. Ok album but nothing I love and two duds. I call
it orchestral grunge. Othr than two slow tunes, it pretty much all sounds the same to me. Amy
Lee is a competent enough vocalist for the genre, but I think the music is better than the
vocals. This is the groups debut album, selling over 17 million copies world wide. The album
debuted at #7 here, so I take it there was a single released prior. Peaked at #3 and #1 in the
3 other countries that matter. It got the band 5 grammy nominations, winning 2 of them. The
band has only had 2 albums since this one, both selling well, but not nearly as well as this
one. If this is their best, I'll pass on the other two.
