another of Blur's Damien Albarn's side projects....
guess you cant accuse the guy of staying in 'britpop' mode for his whole career....
i initially bought this one expecting a whole lot more than it turned out to be simply because not only was the Blur frontman on it, bt also Paul Simonon(the clash) and Paul Trogg(the verve) played a big part also...i should have known better as so called 'super groups' rarely achieve what they set out to de(noteable exceptions being Travelling Willbury's and CSN/CSNY IMO)...
for the most part this has a very sparse electronic feel similar to Portishead and i dont like those guys much, but there are a few little gems on here that are in similar vein to the quieter,cheeky,cockney moments of Small Faces album tracks, other than that, this is another big dissapointment from Albarn!
