i guess thats how all those older artists make their money later in their careers....re-issues/re-entries of their early albums....
as an example, i read somewhere recently that Meatloaf still sells around 100,000 copies of Bat Out Of Hell worldwide annually....so if thats the case, how many albums do someone like The Beatles sell annually?????,my guess.....several million(and im sure that goes up when Macca tours(plus his solo stuff like Band On The Run etc etc)...
again, back to Macca....i remember around twenty years ago that i saw a doco on him and it is estimated then that he made $1700 per minute from royalties from airplay alone....astronomical,mind boggling stuff!
