apparently it's a term of endearment ! Paula Deen should have used this word instead about 50 years ago.....or was it 20!
CNN had a two hour panel discussion on the two words...very interesting discussion but they didn't scorn the rappers except for Oprah !and jazz great Wynton Marsalis. They said it was an insult to their race to lower themselves to obscene lyrical content and banal music. Wynton said that when he goes to Europe people ask him what happened to American music ?
I have black friends, I have Asian friends, I have Indian friends, I have no disrespect for anyone ! We're all earth's people !
Having said that, why is it that whites love black music so much yet for the most part, blacks do not listen to white music ? It's an observation I've noticed over the decades.
