PAUL McCARTNEY "run devil run" cd, 1999.
album chart action: #12 UK, #27 US.
singles:
"no other baby"...#24 UK.
a covers set this time round from Macca...
they are primarily songs that he grew up listening to from the rock era during his formative years and ones that influenced him...
two new tracks on here though in "run devil run" and "what it is"...the title track is reall upbeat rock(wings could have done this one!), and the 1950s sounding "what it is"...
album was recorded in two days...
album cover comes from a small drug store he saw on a trip to New Orleans, he liked the name of the shop and thought it would make a good title for a song and an album...
best track on here is the only single released from it in "no other baby" which i love, cant recall who originally did this one but i know it...also the only other track i love is Carl Perkins' "movie magg", album socres an overall rating of 1.8 from me, its okay IMO, nothing special but if anyone has a right to record a covers set of old rock tunes then its gotta be Paul...
