SteveO Wrote:Nice story Crazy mate ! I have a soft spot for RAM...my first love and I listened to it for hours...he has a lot of great music !!!!!
Band is best post Beatles record period of all four mates...don't think so? Go listen to No Words or Mrs. Vanderbilt- two album cuts on this one- devastating hooks and music, and great lyrics?!
Sir Paul always got underrated back then because he had a lot o "silly love songs" to John's more 'serious' tones. But he is hands down the greatest melody maker in music and the Beatles fame is due in great part to that. Of course I love em all and am particularly partial to Double Fantasy and All Things Must Pass for John and George's lovely instincts to spread the Love over to mates friends and triple LPs
and Ringo remember people played drums on much of the mates solo stuff (John's first...Instant Karma, as well as Paul's debut, Tug Of War and George's early material
Oh, and It Don't Come Easy is simply masterful tune by Mr. Starkey- think its Georges or at least produced by him...
What a great group
Best Ever!
