i have just pulled out my UK 'music bible' and they describe a 'one hit wonder' in the UK as "an artist who has had one charted single entry which peaked at #1 and no other chart placed single release"
my Aussie 'music bible' states...."an artist who has only had one top20 hit"
i dont have a book of US chart hits anymore(its got lost in the house moves ive had over the years), so i cannot qoute what the US definition of a one hit wonder is?!
but from the UK/AU definition, the definition is different is different countries....so there is no official definition really, i guess we can all assume it is what we believe it to be...so confusing,so 'grey', so stupid!
