Recently I've been having to either drive to Toronto, or order from Amazon if I want to get a more obscure artist's CD in my area. I should probably start buying digital, but I just haven't gotten to it yet. I really should try Grooveshark out sometime though.
Edit: I guess I've pretty much discovered most of the music I like through forum recommendations, last fm, metal-archives, and youtube.
As for the site you're having difficulty accessing, does it say anything on your screen when you try to go to the site, if so what? It could be that the site doesn't allow people from Canada to access it like some other sites do with Canada or other countries, so I've heard some people in Canada or other blocked countries use things called proxy servers which are basically servers somewhere else which they go through that makes them appear to be somewhere else, I guess. My understanding of that subject isn't very good though, because I've never done that sort of stuff. Also the reason could be that the web address you entered may not be 100% correct. For example make sure you have the correct ending to the url, which could be different ones like .net, .com, .ca, .org etc. As well as some websites use a dash in between words in the url for example "metal-archives," "blind-guardian" etc. Also try just plainly searching the website on google if entering the site's url into the url bar at the top of your internet browser isn't pulling up the website.
I'm listening right now to some pretty good Atmospheric Black Metal from Finland.
