First off, he did not write "California Dreamin", at least not by copyright. I was mistaken in a previous post and I apologize. He did do a brilliant version but my grievous error.
He did however write "Breezin'" which George Benson did well with, and his work with that mad Hungarian Gypsy, Gabor Szabo, stands time's test.
