ELVIS COSTELLO "national ransom" cd, 2010

the twenty-nineth studio album from Elvis Costello in thirty-four years...
i still find it amazing that someone who should be an embarrassment after that long in his career is still churning out quality material that is fresh and new sounding...
i mean, the guy has not made a bad album that i either own or have heard no matter what style his muse takes him through, and this one is no exception...
still has classy, intelligent lyrics, his vocals are still spot on as he weaves his way through a series of styles/genres once again...
we have ballads, country, country'rock, rock and a touch of vaudvillian sounds here and all blend perfectly alongside eachother...
once again, not a single bad track on this album(as is the norm with Coastello, as he produces a quality product...
i love the album cover art also, but it loses its effect in a jewel case...would love to see this one as a vinyl cover, but sadly never have.
all up, another good album by "the other Elvis"...
