Hey Bro, it's not up to me to define the term, but it's good when there's a standard of reference, where folks are on the same page talking about the same thing. I'd have the same issue if we were speaking of Argentinian physicists...Up to the age of 2, you could call me a German baby, 'cuz 3/4 of my life to that point was spent there (as a military dependent)--even gurgled in German or so I'm told. I'm being a bit silly here but you get the point. By some definitions, you don't even have to speak a country's native language or speak it fluently (someone living/singing in a large, wholly-ethnic community within a country--Italians in New York City or Scandinavians in the Upper Midwest, e.g. Listen to Lawrence Welk's accent and tell me his first language is English, yet you'd look hard to find a more American artist.). Whoo, boy, did I string this out...
