Whenever I hear these stories about pretentious ego-driven musicians, I cringe and then I wonder whether they would be the stars that they are had they *not* been pretentious ego-driven individuals. I'm not saying I think it's necessary to be an "asshat" in order to be a success, but when the world is full of down-to-earth genuine musicians with tons of talent who do not make it to the big time, I have to wonder.
Everyone has an Angel: a Guardian who watches over us. We can't know what form they'll take. One day, old man. Next day, little girl. But don't let appearances fool you, they can be as fierce as any dragon. Yet they're not here to fight our battles, but to whisper from our heart.
