on to New Order...
i was never a Joy Division fan, more into The Jam,Elvis Costello,McCartney,Split Enz and the UK ska groups(madness, specials, beat etc) back then, having no time for synthesized dance crap!
then from the ashes of Joy Division came New Order, loved their "blue monday" single but nothing else, ever!
those guys were huge amongst the Uni-student set back then(in the UK) but i never got into them...
heard Blue Monday on the radio just the other day for the first time in what seemed like an eternity...i was surprised to find that it actually sounded very good to this day, a rarity for early 80s UK synth-pop which didnt age like a fine wine...most of that stuff has aged like rotting grapes IMO.
