Big Ears Wrote:Laura Nyro's songs were successfully covered by 5th Dimension (Stoned Soul Picnic, Wedding Bell Blues), Barbra Streisand (Stoney End), Cass Elliott (He's a Runner), Three Dog Night, and Peter, Paul and Mary. Laura was a songwriting genius, rather like Carole King, and I think her best album is Eli and the 13th Confession (1968). I am annoyed with myself for not putting her in my list of favourites.
