I, like many MD members, try to keep up with contemporary music or music of the day, modern music. When is music considered old? Is music new because it has just been released and is the flavour of the day and subsequently is it considered old once the single or album fades off the charts? With the hundreds of albums and singles released monthly it is impossible to keep abreast of new music. In the term new music I don't mean a new sound or God forbid a new genre! I am just talking about the release date and the age of the music so to speak.
A popular example for discussion sake, is Adele's last album Adele 21 released almost four years ago! Is this album considered old as well as the 5 singles it spurned? Just curious because when I mention an album from two or three years ago some people have said " Oh that's old".
What say ye?

The ultimate connection is between a performer and its' audience!
