Aaron Neville is his name. There's been a 1/2 Post here on his last doo-wop excursion, '86's Orchid in the Storm EP and now he's back as of 2013. His voice has aged like fine wine, and with the expert backing of Blue Note label prez, Don Was, and with Keith Richards pushing the project, it had to be the success it is. There's also a DVD of this album live in Brooklyn, NYC. Here's AMG on it: http://www.allmusic.com/album/my-true-st...0002451487

You'll note that these aren't all doo-wop songs, just all-eras done in doo-wop style.

A man accustomed to hear only the echo of his own sentiments, soon bars all the common avenues of delight, and has no part in the general gratification of mankind--Dr. Johnson
