UK "singles" charts for week ending 22nd July:
DJ Khaled has ended Despacito’s reign at the top to claim his second Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart.
Wild Thoughts – featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller - climbs a place to 1 after three weeks at Number 2. It gives the Miami producer his second Number 1 single this year, while Rihanna claims her ninth and first in almost four years, since 2013’s The Monster with Eminem.
Rihanna also matches Abba and Spice Girls’ tally of chart-toppers and becomes only the tenth act to claim nine or more Number 1s on the Official Singles Chart.
Wild Thoughts samples Santana’s Maria Maria, which peaked at Number 6 in 2000.
Meanwhile, rapper/singer French Montana holds at 3 with Unforgettable ft. Swae Lee, Calvin Harris’ Feels ft. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry and Big Sean is at 4, and Jonas’s Blue’s Mama ft. William Singe logs a fourth week in the Top 5 at 5.
New entries and high climbers
Little Mix rebound two spots to 8 with their latest single Power ft. Stormzy, Crying In The Club by former Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello reaches a new peak of 13, and Imagine Dragons crack the Top 20 with Thunder, up four places to 20.
This week’s highest new entry comes from The Script – Rain opens at Number 26, their first Top 40 entry since No Good In Goodbye peaked at the same position in November 2014.
Further down, Demi Lovato zooms 42 places to Number 27 with her latest track Sorry Not Sorry, her tenth UK Top 40 hit, while her collaboration with Jax Jones, Instruction, lifts six spots to 32.
Selena Gomez lands at Number 33 with her new single Fetish ft. Gucci Mane, Dua Lipa vaults 39 places to Number 37 with New Rules, and UK rappers Yungen and Yxng Bane make their Top 40 debut with Bestie, up 17 places to Number 38.

UK "albums" chart for week ending 22nd July:
The Vamps have dethroned Ed Sheeran at the top of the Official Albums Chart.
The Vamps’ third record Night & Day becomes the British band’s first UK chart topping album. The Vamps join Kasabian, The Beatles and London Grammar to knock Ed from Number 1 since his album ÷ was released back in March.
Night & Day was also the week’s most popular in independent record shops and lands at the top of this week’s
Official Record Store Chart.
Bradley, Connor, James and Tristan’s first album Meet The Vamps peaked at Number 2 in 2014, while the follow-up Wake Up reached Number 10. Night & Day is a double concept album; the Night Edition tops this week’s chart, while the Day Edition is scheduled for a winter 2017/early 2018 release.
Celebrating with OfficialCharts.com, the band say: "The biggest of thankyous to our fans, this is all down to you. Thank you so, so much for all of you support. We love you and the second half will be coming very soon."
Ed Sheeran’s ÷ falls to Number 2 this week, the album has so far spent 14 weeks at Number 1 and 20 weeks inside the Top 2.
Joining The Vamps as a new Top 5 entry this week is Grime MC Bugzy Malone – his third EP King Of The North bows at Number 4, his third Top 10 placing and highest position to date. Just behind him is John Denver, whose Ultimate Collection debuts at Number 5.
New entries and high climbers
London duo Oh Wonder score their first Top 10 with their second collection Ultralife at Number 8, ahead of Joe McElderry at Number 10. Joe’s fifth studio album Saturday Night at the Movies is his fourth Top 10 album, something only four other X Factor acts have achieved: One Direction, Rebecca Ferguson, Olly Murs and Little Mix.
Kendrick Lamar’s album DAMN. returns to the Top 20 at Number 18 following the album’s vinyl release, plus Guernsey born producer Mura Masa lands at Number 19 with his debut, self-titled album.
The Last Night of the Electrics becomes Status Quo’s 41
st Top 40 album at 24, and there’s a new Top 40 entry at Number 31 for Bombay Bicycle Club lead vocalist Mr Jukes and his first solo effort God First.
Finally, French Montana secures a Top 40 slot with his second studio album Jungle Rules (33), while the soundtrack to Disney’s Beauty and the Beast rebounds 57 slots to 35 following the film’s DVD release.

Big moves for Jessica Mauboy, Macklemore, Sam Hunt and more!
Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee have racked up their tenth straight week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with their Justin Bieber-featured single ‘Despacito’. The track has also held #1 for ten consecutive weeks in the US.
After three weeks lower down the top five, ‘Strip That Down’ returns to its previous peak of #2. It’s the single’s ninth week in the top 50.
On the back of a week of heavy promo, Jessica Mauboy’s ‘Fallin’’ jumps 14 spots to a new peak of #11. The track is Mauboy’s 23rd appearance in the top 50 as a lead artist.
Returning to the top 50 last week, Macklemore’s ‘Glorious’ has climbed a further seven spots this week to #15, hitting the top 20 for the first time.
In its fifth week in the top 50, Sam Hunt’s ‘Body Like A Back Road’ moves up six spots to hit a new peak of #17.

#23: Selena Gomez Feat. Gucci Mane ‘Fetish’ – Selena Gomez follows ‘Bad Liar’ (#13 Jul. ’17) with the Gucci Mane-featured track ‘Fetish’. It’s Gomez’s third top 50 appearance for the year, having peaked at #4 with Kygo and the track ‘It Ain’t Me’.
#31: Vance Joy ‘Lay It On Me’ – Vance Joy returns to the ARIA Singles Chart for the first time since 2015 with ‘Lay It On Me’. The Melbourne singer-songwriter last appeared on the chart with ‘Fire And The Flood’ (#6 Sept. ’15). He’ll be playing shows in Sydney and Melbourne in November to celebrate the new single’s release.
#35: Demi Lovato ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ – With her first top 50 appearance since ‘Confident’ (#35 Oct. ’15), Demi Lovato gives fans the first taste of her forthcoming sixth studio album. ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ also becomes Lovato’s sixth top 50 on the ARIA Singles Chart.

#2: Meg Mac ‘Low Blows’ – Melbourne singer-songwriter Meg Mac picks up her debut on the ARIA Albums Chart with
Low Blows. Mac’s debut album comes three years on from her debut self-titled EP and two years on from the single ‘Never Be’ (#39 Aug. ’15).
Low Blows was recorded in Fort Worth, Texas with production team Niles City Sound who produced and played on the Leon Bridges album
Coming Home (#8 Jun. ’15).
#10: Various Artists ‘Punk Goes Pop, Vol. 7’ – The latest release in Fearless Records’
Punk Goes Pop series. Volume 7 includes Gympie’s The Amity Affliction covering The Weeknd’s ‘Can’t Feel My Face’, as well as other punk and hardcore bands presenting their takes on tracks made famous by James Bay, Bruno Mars, Adele, Justin Bieber and more.
Punk Goes Pop, Vol. 6 peaked at #26 in November 2014.
#22: The Vamps ‘Night & Day’ – British pop-rock band The Vamps return with
Night & Day. The group’s third album comes two years on from
Wake Up (#23 Dec. ’15).
Night & Day is being released in two parts: the current release, known as
Night Edition, and the December 2017 release known as
Day Edition.
#29: Alpha Wolf ‘Mono’ – The debut album from Melbourne metalcore band Alpha Wolf gives the five piece their debut appearance in the ARIA top 50. Prior to
Mono’s release, the band had put out EP and a couple of singles.
#36: The Kite String Tangle ‘The Kite String Tangle’ – Brisbane electronic artist and producer Danny Harley releases the self-titled debut album under the guise of The Kite String Tangle. The album is the second release by the The Kite String Tangle to hit the top 50 on the ARIA Albums Chart, following on from the EP
Vessel (#8 Aug. ’14).
#37: Oh Wonder ‘Ultralife’ – With their second studio album,
Ultralife, British indie pop duo Oh Wonder take out their first appearance in the ARIA top 50.
Ultralife is the follow-up to Oh Wonder’s self-titled debut album of 2015. The duo are currently touring Australia, headlining their own shows as well as appearing at Splendour In The Grass.
#46: Planetshakers ‘Legacy, Pt. 2: Passion’ – Contemporary Christian act Planetshakers score a sixth top 50 entry with live release
Legacy, Pt. 2: Passion. In 2016, Planetshakers hit the top 50 with two titles:
Momentum (Live In Manila) (#20 Apr. ’16) and
Overflow (#25 Oct. ’16).
#49: Mura Masa ‘Mura Masa’ – After peaking at #14 in February with the single ‘Love$ick’, Guernsey DJ/producer Mura Masa hits the Albums Chart with his self-titled debut. The album features an assortment of guests including Charli XCX, ASAP Rocky, Damon Albarn and more.
