i always thought my dad couldnt stand The Kinks, but i guess he must have liked this one...
not their debut single as most believe, but in fact their fourth single...the previous three didnt chart anywhere...
"A" side...iconic 1960s rock track with one of the most recognizable riffs off all time, i love it
"B" side, now i am a Kinks fan but this one is crap, i guess they still had some fine tuning of their style to go...

thanks for your constant comments Jazzy...i appreciate the thoughts of others.
as a footnote...
i have no idea what i am about to play until the day i post them so the singles are always a surprise to me...mostly pleasant, sometimes not,LOL!
so what happens is, i randomly pick out the singles, look at the ones i have selected and play them in the order i choose to.
i usually pick out anywhere between three and five a day...
but im saving all the 78s until, im assuming quite a few of them could be pre-rock and roll.

BTW, she hated that song "Puppet on a String" (called it sexist drivel) and the oom-pah style of it, and re-recorded it much later as "Puppet's Got a Brand New String". Can't find an example.

a four track covers 'ep' from Connie this time round....
im not sure if this charted in the UK or not because Wiki have a list of her UK "ep" releases but htis is not on that list,
neither are the individual tracks in her UK singles releases...strange indeed!
anyway, four tracks...all are very good, as is most of Connie's material IMO

this is the only thing ive ever heard by Billy as far as i know...
but what an "A" side to know, an absolute classic IMO...
i like th "B" side also, im sure if i hear it a couple of more times i would love that also
