Stuff I Like
#11
Really like the way you introduce the ambient slant to the acoustic pieces - gives it a very rich feel. 'Ocean' is pretty cool too. Still have to get to some of the others. Have you released any albums in CD format?

Jerome Wrote:Just started listening to this - there's quite a lot of tracks so it's going to take a while - what I have heard so far I really like. (only on the second track at the moment) Is this all your work? Very Eno/Robert Fripp-ish to my ears. Really nice to listen to! The stuff you heard on my web page is just the intro & outro of the album and one other track 'Saharan Haze' sandwiched between them. I have to go off to the office to do some reports but will spend the afternoon listening to the rest. Curious as to what the others sound like. You have me hooked.

Hi,
Yeah, all the stuff on my soundclick page is me . Acoustic guitar (some tracks with processed acoustic guitar fx) , and the other tracks were all done with Arp X-8 arpeggiator software , because I don't know how to do proper multitracking .

Shed Man (Graeme Cammack) was a nice Scottish fellow I met online via the Bill Nelson fan site, and he had moved to South Africa a few years before he passed away.

There's another guy/artist I met the same way, Stuttering Monks , who's done some nice World/Electronic work.
I also turned him loose with one of my guitar ditties 'Singularity' is the better of the two

I'm strictly an amateur; I don't have much time to make music ; mostly just guitar noodling these days, with an occasional rush of practice every few years to get one or two things recorded. The last guitar one took a year to write and practice.
That is some seriously slow ketchup ! Good to hear you like some of it !

Now, what's some more stuff I like ?...

I'm a big fan of Tori's 'Scarlett's Walk' album. Play that one quite a bit. BTW I am from SA myself. Had a listen to Graeme's work as well. Marvellous stuff.

I saw that under your av; that's why I mentioned him living there . A special spirit in his music ; completely unnoticed by the world at large . Such an odd world . Ah well ... see you in the next one, and don't be late , like Jimi said !

Nothing official; I do give away cd's I burn sometimes.
The 'others' are kind of different ; mechanical but beautiful, kind of like fractals.
